Pilot assessment in Estonia

From August 25th to September 1st, 2024, the Financially Empowered Women (FEW) project held a week-long training event in Pärnu, Estonia, hosted by Rääma Noorte Ühing Noorus NGO. This training marked a significant milestone for the FEW project, as it represented the first pilot assessment of the training program developed during WP2. The goal was to evaluate the effectiveness of the FEW approach, specifically designed to support the economic and social empowerment of young migrant and refugee women in Europe.

Each project partner selected four young migrant and refugee women, along with one accompanying person, to participate in the pilot mobility in Estonia. The participants engaged in a comprehensive program that covered key financial literacy concepts and practical applications, designed to meet their specific expectations and skills needs. This mobility activity served as a hands-on pilot, allowing the direct target group of the project to assess the relevance and effectiveness of the training program.

During the week, participants went through all the training program content, taking part in various workshops, interactive sessions, and real-world scenarios to verify whether the material truly addressed their needs. Their feedback was invaluable—if overall positive, with only minor adjustments required, this would confirm that the project’s Strategic Objective 1 (SO1) had been successfully implemented. Furthermore, the young migrant and refugee women would have gained access to a powerful new tool to foster their financial independence, inclusion, and empowerment.

By the end of the training, participants received Youthpass certificates, recognizing their learning and contributions.

Stay tuned for further updates as the FEW project advances toward its goal of fostering financial empowerment and social inclusion!
