On May 3rd, 2025, MINERVA proudly hosted the Final Conference of the Financially Empowered Women (FEW) project in Forlì, Italy. This gathering marked the culmination of two years of dedicated work aimed at improving the financial literacy and economic inclusion of young migrant and refugee women across Europe.
Local stakeholders, including policy makers, youth workers, and representatives of civil society, joined us for a full day of presentations, discussions, and networking opportunities. Highlights of the event included:
- Presentation of the FEW Online Training Programme: Attendees explored the innovative online course designed to equip young migrant and refugee women with essential financial literacy skills, fostering confidence and independence.
- Launch of the Financial Literacy Inclusion Toolkit: This toolkit—created to support youth workers—offers practical strategies and materials for addressing the specific challenges young migrant and refugee women face in achieving financial security.
- Showcase of Policy Recommendations: In light of the project’s key findings, MINERVA introduced a set of policy recommendations aimed at informing local and national decision makers on actions to promote financial inclusion and facilitate the full social participation of young migrant and refugee women.
Throughout the day, participants engaged in interactive sessions, shared best practices, and discussed ways to sustain project results beyond the FEW lifecycle. The event concluded with a commitment from local authorities and organizations to continue fostering financial literacy initiatives and youth-focused inclusion programs in Forlì and beyond.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed to making this Final Conference a remarkable success. Stay tuned for more updates on the FEW project’s legacy as we continue working towards financially empowered women across Europe!
