On September 18th, Uudo Laane introduced the “Financially Empowered Women” project to the leadership members of the Pärnumaa Disabled People’s Organization. The meeting focused on sharing the key outcomes of the project, particularly its efforts to empower migrant women through financial education and entrepreneurship. Uudo Laane emphasized how the participants, who were migrant women from various countries, gained valuable skills in budgeting, business planning, and understanding EU rights.

The leadership members of the Pärnumaa Disabled People’s Organization showed interest in the project’s approach to addressing the specific challenges faced by migrant women, particularly how the project’s model could be adapted to benefit other vulnerable groups, such as people with disabilities. There was a meaningful discussion about the potential for collaboration between different social groups to promote financial empowerment and inclusion. Uudo also shared the positive feedback received from the participants regarding the practical workshops and the supportive community they built during the project.

The leadership members appreciated the insights and suggested further opportunities for cooperation, seeing parallels between the needs of migrants and people with disabilities. This meeting marked a significant step toward exploring the possibility of implementing similar initiatives within the organization’s own activities, ensuring the project’s impact reaches broader communities.
